Oude Geuze Boon is one of the finest examples of the traditional 100% spontaneous fermentation Lambic style. These are immensely classic Belgian beers that are increasingly rare and hard to come by. This Lambic beer is aged for 1, 2 or 3 years in oak casks. The blend, a mild average 18 month old Lambic (unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurized) is re-fermented in the bottle and can be stored for up to 20 years. Taste is very particular with nuances of champagne, with its dryness, and yet is very fresh, fruity and spicy with touches of citrus and oak. The colour is clear golden and ideally this beer is served cool (not very cold) at around 12 degrees.
