Evil Twin Brewing (New York, USA)

Evil Twin Brewing is the creation of Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, who started the brewing company in 2010. Jeppe is a Dane born and raised in Denmark but who felt that the brewing landscape in Denmark was not big enough for him and his brother Mikkel Borg-Bjergsø, co-founder of Mikkeler, another world-renowned brewing company, so he re-located to New York City in 2012, where he continued to build Evil Twin Brewing into the titan that it is today.

Evil Twin is different to most other brewers in the world as it brews in up to ten different facilities that it does not own. This sort of brewing is called contract or gypsy brewing and it allows the brewer to concentrate on recipes and execution rather than managing an actual brewery. The brewer behind Evil Twin always felt that his good intentions to disturb, disorder and enlighten you with unforgettable beer after beer could be better attained by contract brewing. Finally, after more than a decade of brewing in different locations around the world, mostly in Belgium, Denmark and Connecticut (US), Evil Twin is in the process of finishing off its own brewing facility in Ridgewood, New York. In its own facility, Evil Twin will continue to try and please its audience with delicate, funky, extreme and by all means rare flavours. Sipping on an Evil Twin is always an experience!
